For some gamers, the in-game store also failed to function. According to Respawn, the Apex Legends team is currently researching the issue and will notify players “as soon as we have an update on the issue”.

There is still no clear explanation for the glitch. As a result, the game-breaking bug was discovered following the April Fool’s update and the new split of the season that was announced.

Cross-progression might also be involved. Apex Legends’ official account did reply to a player’s post about cross-progression and losing progress.

For now, players are hesitant to even log into the game. The game has been criticized on social media by many fans.

Players are still frustrated after Apex Legends pros were hacked during an official tournament. As a result, the event was postponed, and the hacker behind the incident later said that the incident was just for fun.

A layoff also occurred last month at Respawn’s Apex Legends team.

Both of these recent events were quickly mentioned today, as Respawn investigates the most damaging glitch yet in Apex Legends. Although Respawn responded promptly, players appeared to be losing patience.

Longtime fans are disappointed by today’s glitch. Especially since Breakout’s overhaul recently sought to revive interest in Apex Legends.
